The SideroTec-HiSens™ assay uses a single addition ready-to-use fluorescent label for detection of siderophores and other iron chelation molecules in aqueous, organic, or biological samples.
In nature siderophores are generated in the nanomolar range making direct detection difficult with the need for amplification through microbial culture or using more complex and time-consuming analytical techniques.
Detection of siderophores in the low nanomolar range is now possible with the SideroTec-HiSens™ assay. Using a fluorescent based probe, siderophores can now be directly detected in either environmental or biological samples in less than 15 minutes.
