Our Story

Accuplex Diagnostics was set up in 2011

With the goal of developing novel diagnostic tests for use in veterinary, human and research applications. Accuplex pioneered the concept of using rapid horse side tests for Serum Amyloid A (SAA) as an extremely useful tool to help assess equine health and welfare.

As a result, SAA is now the most widely used biomarker of inflammation in equine health care management. These tests have been adapted for use in a wide range of other species including dogs, rabbits, cats, baboons, orangutans, mink, seals as well as production animals.

Accuplex Diagnostics’ team comprise more than 50 years of experience in product development and international marketing. We have an active programme for developing new diagnostic tests targeted at simplifying detection of biomarkers in identified areas of need supplying our test from our on-campus base at Maynooth University in Ireland.
